This weekend, I had the privilege of preaching a couple of sermons at the First Christian Reformed Church in Artesia. This sermon looks at sin and its consequences through the life of Gehazi in 2 Kings chapter five. There are times when the hand of God is heavy upon us because of our sin, but if we are children of God, even this is an act of grace. The outline is as follows,
- The Danger and Lure of Sin
- The Consequences of Sin
- The Grace of God in the Consequences of Sin in the Life of the Believer
As you will hear in the introduction, the target of this sermon was not only the intellect of the hearer but the conscience as well. We often take sin too lightly.
