How to Rejoice in the Acension

Life has been hectic lately, which accounts for the lack of new posts. From my full-time job to teaching a class at the law school and providing pulpit supply for a local church, my downtime to write has been limited. I plan to return to it in a couple of weeks when things get back to normal.

For now, I will leave you with this sermon, which I had the privilege of preaching this weekend. Since this past Thursday was 40 days after we celebrated the resurrection, I thought it would be good to consider the blessings of the ascension.

My goal for you, as you listen to this sermon, is for the Holy Spirit to create healthy tension in your heart. First, that you will feel the absence of your Savior in his ascension, and second, that you will rejoice that he left us, because he left us for our good.
